Position Summary
RN Clinic, Podiatry provides specialized nursing support for patients receiving care for foot and ankle conditions, diabetic foot concerns, and minor podiatric procedures within the outpatient clinic setting. This role performs focused patient assessments, assists with wound care and treatments, and delivers education to support mobility, prevention, and chronic disease management. Working collaboratively with podiatry providers and interdisciplinary clinic team members, the RN helps ensure coordinated, timely care and accurate clinical documentation.

- Perform podiatry-focused assessments, administer medications and treatments, and assist providers during exams, wound care, and minor podiatric procedures.
- Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging, laboratory specimen handling, referrals, and follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of podiatric care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient education accurately within the electronic health record in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Educate patients on foot and ankle care, diabetic foot prevention, wound management, durable medical equipment use, and follow-up instructions.
- Collaborate with podiatry providers, diabetes educators, wound care teams, and ancillary departments to address changes in condition and support comprehensive care plans.
- Participate in clinic quality initiatives, maintain competency in point-of-care testing, and complete required training to support podiatric clinical readiness.
