Role Description This is a part-time (with full-time potential) on-site Sales Associate role located in Minot, ND. The Sales Associate supports customers by greeting them, understanding their preferences, and guiding them through jewelry options and purchases. Daily tasks include presenting merchandise, explaining product features and care, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate sales and customer records. The role also involves keeping displays clean and organized, monitoring inventory levels on the sales floor, and following store procedures and policies.

Sales Associates collaborate with the store team to meet sales goals, deliver an inclusive and welcoming customer experience, and uphold Zales’ brand standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to engage warmly with diverse customers and listen actively to their needs.
• Sales and retail skills, such as basic selling techniques, cash handling, and using POS systems for transactions.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain merchandise displays, manage stock, and follow store procedures accurately.
• Reliability and time management skills, with the ability to work part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move merchandise safely, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
• Interest in jewelry, fashion, or accessories and willingness to learn product features, materials, and care instructions.
• Collaborative mindset and professionalism when working with team members and interacting with customers.
• Prior retail or customer-facing experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
