Position SummaryEssential Job Functions:
- Learn and understand L&W gaming products, including theory of operation, abnormal operation, basic troubleshooting, and repair.
- Safely use common hand tools including screw drivers, nut drivers, wrenches, pliers, wire cutters, hammers, center punches, drills, and multimeter. Ensure tools, equipment, and company vehicle are kept in a safe working condition.
- Apply safety training in the field and wear PPE safety equipment (steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, vests) where required.
- Provide high quality service to customers.
- Complete service calls and preventive maintenance on L&W equipment at customer locations as assigned.
- Install, set up, and configure L&W products and equipment at customer locations as assigned.
- Troubleshoot to the board or sub-assembly level using common-sense troubleshooting techniques, internal diagnostics, and functional testing.
- Support other technicians with scheduled installations, equipment moves, and equipment returns of L&W equipment at customer locations.
- Understand and use Service Max to manage customer tickets and submit questions to product support and parts orders.
- Keep and maintain company provided assets: phone, laptop, vehicle, and specialty tools.
- Keep and track parts inventory in assigned company vehicle.
- Review customer issues with management and product support.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QualificationsQualifications:
Training and/or
Experience:
- Technical background, including a basic understanding of electronics and one year electrical/electronics experience is preferred.
- Prefer one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be old enough to enter casino customer locations.
- You must have a valid Driver’s license in the state you work in.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license from various gaming agencies.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical/Military Training Schools are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals and technical bulletins including block diagrams and basic schematics.
- Basic mechanical assembly skills.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics.
- Basic knowledge of computer networking and network topology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a courteous and professional manner, including problem resolution and decision making.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, bend, reach, kneel, lie prone, hold, push, pull and lower as necessary.
- Ability to safely move large machines on an appropriate cart or dolly.
Work Conditions:
- This job entails frequent work in dimly lit, crowded, noisy conditions and around smokers.
- Must be able and willing to travel on short notice and work “on call”
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
