Onsite Services Specialist

The American National Red Cross seeks a Service to the Armed Forces Specialist to support active-duty members, veterans, and their families through compassionate, mission-driven services. Based within Community & Social Services, this role coordinates emergency communications, provides case management and referrals, and conducts outreach on and around military installations. You will collaborate with base leadership, VA staff, and community partners, engage and support volunteers, and maintain accurate case records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and referral services to active-duty members, veterans, and military families
• Coordinate emergency communication messages between military families and service members
• Conduct outreach, briefings, and workshops on Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces programs
• Collaborate with military installations, VA facilities, and community partners to deliver services
• Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and data in client management systems
• Support disaster response activities for military communities as needed
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with SAF programs
• Promote Red Cross programs through presentations, events, and community engagement
• Ensure services are delivered with cultural competence, empathy, and confidentiality
• Monitor program outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
