Job DescriptionPay Range: $22.00-$31.00

Job SummaryDrivers operate heavy‑duty trucks with front, side, or rear‑end load lift attachments. They transport material to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Drivers may be required to maneuver containers, navigate congested roads, and perform backing maneuvers. There are three types of drivers:
Commercial, Residential, and Roll‑off, each with specific responsibilities.
- Operate vehicle in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and applicable laws.
- Perform pre and post‑trip inspections and document checks via DVIR.
- Report unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
- Attend training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
- Work with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notify Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, closed or impassable streets, heavy receptacles, or potential hazards.
- Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
- Completely dump all receptacles and leave the location clean and free of debris.
- Follow route assignments and complete end‑of‑day documentation and checkout process.
- Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
A. Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country.
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
- Successfully complete pre‑employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air‑brake endorsement or Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air‑brake endorsement.

This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of ongoing employment requirements, the candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing—in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
