Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
PrimaryRoles And Responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction
- Establish customer relationship for construction services.
- Educate customer on the construction process.
- Work with customers to understand desired upgrades/changes.
- Ensure that estimates meet customer and insurance requirements.
- Prepare the file to go into production.
- Project Initiation
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Create an accurate sketch and initial scope of work for construction projects.
- Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial estimate.
- Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades.
- Work with Project Managers to price bid items, supplements, and change orders if needed.
- Project Planning
- Identify and document finalized project scope of work.
- Work with outside resources as necessary to support the work cycle (e.g., Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc.).
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates, supplements, and change orders.
- Deliver and communicate estimate to the adjuster who is assigned to the claim.
- Provide contract to the insured to execute once the adjuster approves the submitted estimate.
- Ensure that all the executed documents are collected so that the project can enter the production cycle.
- Help work through any supplements that the project managers need assistance with during the production cycle.
- Additional Support
- Support the estimating department through helping write mitigation estimates, as needed.
- Provide peer reviews for the other estimators in the office in mitigation & construction capacity.
- Help with monthly training using industry knowledge that can be used to educate the team through building camaraderie and teamwork within the office.
- Assist, as needed, in first response in times of inundation within the company.
Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting and occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level at individual jobsites can be loud.
