Accounting Manager

Overview

Wave is a design-build audio, video, and lighting integration company creating innovative AVL environments for churches, commercial spaces, entertainment, education, and sporting venues.

Wave is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its leadership team and partner closely with the CEO. This role will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while helping scale systems, processes, and financial insight as the company grows.

The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader with accounting experience in the construction market, who brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial visibility, supporting leadership decision-making, and building scalable financial operations.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and enhance corporate accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Manage monthly and annual close processes and ensure timely,accurate financial reporting
• Develop, refine, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and financial reviews

• Develop and manage the annual budget in partnership with leadership
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Produce project-level job cost and WIP reports as needed

• Oversee all sales tax filings and compliance requirements
• Manage payroll processing and coordinate employee benefits administration

• Collaborate with leadership to support company growth and operational scale
• Participate in Wave events, client visits, and trade shows as needed

• Passion for supporting churches and faith-based ministries through professional excellence
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting(CPA preferred or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Experience in construction accounting, including job costing and work-in-process (WIP) reporting
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingaccuracy and deadlines
• Strong communicator capable of partnering with executives and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to build, improve, and scale accounting processes
