Position SummaryE.R. Services is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer to join our team. This position is responsible for installing residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components while ensuring all installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and local code requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by completing high-quality installations that improve home comfort, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Install residential HVAC systems, including split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, mini-splits, and ductwork.
- Remove and properly dispose of existing HVAC equipment while preparing job sites for new installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, and work orders.
- Install refrigerant lines, condensate drains, electrical connections, gas piping, duct systems, thermostats, and ventilation components.
- Perform system start-up, testing, balancing, and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain compliance with local codes, manufacturer specifications, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding installation progress and system operation.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Support warehouse organization and assist other installation crews as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycle, airflow principles, and electrical components.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- EPA Section 608 Certification.
- NATE Certification or equivalent.
- Experience installing high-efficiency HVAC systems.
- Experience with Service Titan or similar field service software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Lift and carry equipment up to 75 pounds, with team lifting for heavier items.
- Work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, basements, garages, and outdoors.
- Climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, and work in confined spaces.
- Stand and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
