Overview:

The Director of Nursing (Director of Resident Care) serves as the nursing clinical leader for our community. You will be responsible for leading and managing health and wellness, coordination of care, and services for our residents. This role includes oversight and implementation of all care programs, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing Health and Wellness
  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care and manage the nursing team to promote residents' health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care.
  • Conduct resident assessments and develop Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and Individualized Care Plans (ICP).
Medication Management:
  • Oversee the community medication management program to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Provide clinical training and oversight to nursing and care team members.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Track and report clinical quality data to enhance resident care outcomes.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Manage departmental budget, expenses, and maintain financial accountability.
Training, Leadership, and Team Development:
  • On-board new leaders and oversee the development of clinical team members.
  • Stay updated on industry developments through training and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current state/provincial license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum of two (2) years' RN experience, including at least one (1) year in home health, assisted living, or long-term care.
  • At least one (1) year of nursing management experience, including hiring and performance management.
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid.
  • Strong understanding of nursing practices, infection control, and clinical performance data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
