Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing customer payments, managing invoicing, maintaining accurate account records, and supporting collection efforts to ensure timely receipt of revenue.

• Process customer payments — record electronic deposits and checks accurately and on time.
• Prepare daily deposits — reconcile and document daily cash activity.
• Generate invoices — create and distribute invoices based on billing requirements.
• Apply cash — research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments.
• Manage online payments — use Wide Orbit Central to process online payments and payment plans.
• Monitor AR aging — follow up on past‑due balances and support collection efforts.
• Resolve account issues — work with sales and customers to fix discrepancies.
• Process adjustments — prepare credits, adjustments, and write‑offs per policy.
• Maintain customer records — update billing terms, credit status, and contacts in Wide Orbit.
• Prepare AR reports — provide reporting to support management oversight.
• Reconcile AR to GL — investigate variances and ensure accuracy.
• Support bad debt analysis — assist with reserve evaluation and supporting data.
• Improve AR processes — help maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Cross‑train in AP — learn and support accounts payable tasks as needed.

• 3+ years of AR experience, including collections and portfolio management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with credit, collections, and reporting.
• Ability to improve processes and use technology effectively.
