DescriptionJob Overview
The Construction Coordinator plays a key role in supporting telecommunications construction projects by coordinating project documentation, subcontractor invoicing, customer billing, and production tracking activities. This position serves as a liaison between subcontractors, project teams, customers, and internal departments to ensure accurate reporting, timely invoicing, and efficient project execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, administrative support, project coordination, billing, or related experience preferred
- Coordinate communication between subcontractors, project teams, and internal departments.
- Review and interpret construction documentation, including as-built drawings, redlines, work orders, and supporting project records.
- Prepare reconciliation sheets and support documentation for customer billing.
- Receive, review, and process subcontractor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of customer billing packets and monthly invoices.
- Maintain project production tracking and provide status updates and reports as required.
- Maintain pricing, tracking, and project documentation spreadsheets.
- Establish and maintain organized project and customer files, both electronic and physical.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Generate reports and provide project-related data to management and customers as requested.
- Support continuous process improvement efforts and maintain accurate project records.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to interpret construction-related documentation and project records.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with a professional and positive attitude.
- Primarily office-based in a standard office environment.
- Frequent use of computers, spreadsheets, project management systems, and electronic documentation.
- Ability to sit, stand, and perform typical office activities for extended periods.
