The Project Manager for the Northern Region serves as the key IEDC representative for select counties in Northern Indiana, managing economic development projects and negotiating business attraction and expansion deals. The role focuses on building relationships with economic development partners, local businesses, and elected officials while identifying opportunities for IEDC assistance programs and supporting business development initiatives across the region.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Sales/Business Development, or related field
- Business deal negotiation experience with emphasis on economic development and site selection
- Ability to negotiate complex business transactions on behalf of the State of Indiana
- Knowledge of Indiana's core industries including aerospace, manufacturing, life sciences, logistics, and information technology
- Frequent travel within Northern Indiana region and willingness to maintain residency in the region
- Strong communication skills including public speaking and CRM database management
