Position Overview

Firearms Instructors are responsible for providing quality training, ensuring that each student has a productive, challenging, and meaningful experience in the classroom or on the firing range. The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to ensure the safety and well‑being of all Midwest Shooting Center Students while adhering to the Midwest Shooting Center curriculum, SOPs, and best practices.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide instruction for small group sessions utilizing prescribed curriculum
  • Execute course curriculum as directed
  • Evaluate the abilities of individual participants to determine suitable corrective or remedial training
  • Maintain overall safety and organization of the training environment
  • Ensure safety of students; communicate and oversee compliance with Company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Ensure accountability for all training equipment
  • Identify the requirements needed to maintain required certifications
  • Complete any additional training and/or certifications required by the industry
  • Other duties as assigned

  • A well‑managed calendar with minimal gaps, cancellations, or administrative issues.
  • High client show rates driven by proactive communication and engagement calls.
  • Consistently positive client feedback and repeat training participation.
  • Clean, safe, and compliant instructional environments with strong inspection results.
  • Professional, confident instruction that builds trust, competence, and enthusiasm in students.
  • Strong alignment with MSC culture, standards, and expectations for premium services.

  • Strong instructional presence with the ability to teach clearly and confidently.
  • Excellent time management and calendar discipline.
  • Professional communication skills for client engagement calls and in‑person instruction.
  • High attention to detail, especially related to safety and inspections.
