Financial Manager, Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance
We are partnering with a leading area manufacturer to identify a Plant Controller to lead the finance function at its Mishawaka facility. This role serves as the primary financial partner to plant leadership and is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and actionable analysis to support operational performance.
The Plant Controller reports to the CEO and works closely with operations to provide timely financial insight and guidance.
Responsibilities- Lead all plant-level accounting and finance activities
- Manage and execute the month-end close process
- Prepare and present monthly financial results and analysis
- Develop forecasts, budgets, and ongoing variance analysis
- Maintain standard costing and perform cost analysis, including scrap and yield review
- Support capital expenditure analysis and ROI modeling
- Implement and maintain internal controls, particularly around inventory and operational processes
- Oversee cycle counting and investigate inventory variances
- Develop and monitor KPIs that support plant performance
- Partner with operations to identify cost improvement opportunities
- Work with financial reporting that may include multi-currency transactions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting
- Experience leading month-end close in a plant environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, changing environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
