You will have the opportunity to:
- Assist public sector entities of all types to evaluate financial and operational risks and provide recommendations to enhance internal controls and the internal control environment
- Perform internal audit testing and/or analysis aligned to an audit program and develop clear and concise work papers to support audit findings/conclusions
- Assist in the analysis of the organization's strategy, organizational structure, and operations
- Learn and grow from direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, or a similar technical degree, preferred
- Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
- Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
- Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for this position
- Must be a current Summer 2026 Baker Tilly Intern
The pay rate range for this position is $62,000 - $90,840. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
