Join our Patient Access team and play a key leadership role in ensuring patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate support throughout their scheduling and registration experience. As a Patient Access Pre Service Scheduling Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, guide frontline staff, and support the processes that ensure patients are financially cleared, accurately registered, and well‑informed before their visit. This role contributes directly to service excellence by promoting clear communication, operational efficiency, and a culture aligned with our Trinity Health Mission, Values, and Promise.
Highlights- Supervise daily operations for Pre Service Scheduling and/or Patient Access
- Support staff performance, scheduling, training, and workflow coordination
- Ensure quality standards, financial clearance, and accuracy in patient registration
- Address patient and staff concerns with professionalism and timely follow‑up
- Foster teamwork, trust, and a positive work environment
- Oversee staff assignments, scheduling, and administrative approvals (timekeeping, payroll, expenses)
- Monitor registration accuracy, patient tracking activity, and financial clearance requirements
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and departmental initiatives
- Resolve patient questions regarding insurance, payments, and scheduling requirements
- Communicate operational goals, policies, and updates to team members
- Maintain safe work practices and uphold compliance with regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards
- Collaborate with managers to implement process improvements and departmental plans
- Support coverage across Patient Access divisions as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- Two to three years of Pre Service or Patient Access experience with supervisory or lead responsibilities
- National certification (HFMA CRCR, NAHAM CHAA or CHAM) required within one year of hire
- Strong communication, service, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and manage shifting priorities
