The Human Resources Director (HRD) is responsible for leading all HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, compliance, and compensation strategy. This role also oversees payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and alignment with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Advise senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement.
Payroll Management
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for all employees.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and manage reporting requirements.
  • Implement and maintain payroll systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Design and manage competitive compensation structures and benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Talent Management
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP).
Preferred Skills
  • SPHR or SHRM‑SCP certification.
  • Experience in multi‑state payroll and complex organizational structures.
