Material Handler

DEPARTMENT: Production / Shipping & Receiving

REPORTING TO: Team Supervisor

MAKS Plastics, LLC is a rotational molding and thermoforming plastic component supplier for the RV, Marine and Custom industries. SUMMARY: The material handler is responsible to move materials and parts between work areas of the plant and to expedite processing of goods, according to schedules and priorities. Organize work areas to streamline shipping processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Retrieve molds from storage and take them to machines and return unused molds to proper storage locations
  • Remove scrap parts that have been dispositioned
  • Makes and assist with mold changes as required
  • Locates and moves the required materials to the specified production area
  • Moves product from Rotocast department to other departments as needed
  • Follows all safety procedures: personal protective equipment, safety glasses, seat belt worn, has a valid Ameri-Kart tow motor license, honks horn frequently, observes pedestrians right of way, cautious of load being carried, NO excessive speeding. OSHA required forklift refresher training. OSHA required housekeeping
  • Create a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Ability to communicate with leads and supervisors
  • Computer experiences helpful

WORKING CONDITIONS: Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time as well as around loud noises are required.
