* What you will do:

* + Actively demonstrates the organization's mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.

+ Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.

+ Assists with surgical procedures in operating room and in clinic

+ Conducts initial assessment of patients during office visits.

+ Schedules diagnostic test procedures as directed.

+ Documents patient care provided.

+ Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.

+ Acts as a collaborating member of the clinic medical home team and is highly committed to a team construct.

+ Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

+ Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

* What you will need:

* Education:

High school graduate with additional specific training.

Two years post-secondary education in an accredited Physician Assistant program or comparable training that results in successful certification by an accredited organization in surgical assisting.

Licensure:

Certification in Surgical Assisting and/or can provide evidence of employment in the field prior to July 1, 2009.

BLS certification required upon hire or able to obtain within 60 days.

Experience:

Experience in independently harvesting leg veins preferred
