Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work locum shifts in Mishawaka, Indiana (IN). Starting in June 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
Job Details- Need:
Open to availability. - Setting: OR (1st assist) and OR Call.
- Volume:
Outpatient - 10, Inpatient - 5-8.
- Provide specialized cardiothoracic care including first assist coverage, vein/artery harvesting using the Maquet system, chest tube and pacing wire removal, complex wound management, and coordination with cardiac rehab and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in perioperative decision‑making with cardiovascular surgeons and respond to emergent situations using ACLS protocols.
- Indiana state license; active, unrestricted.
- Experience in Maquet Vein Harvesting.
- Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience and certifications).
- Housing and transportation needs covered.
- Malpractice insurance provided.
