Job Summary

The Nursing Manager will oversee the Care Management team, supporting and assisting the Executive Director of Clinical Operations in providing 24‑hour resource management services including utilization management, social work, case management, and discharge planning. The Nursing Manager assists in the selection, development, and corrective action of staff, holds them accountable and recognizes their contributions to quality outcomes, and maintains full responsibility to assure customer and physical satisfaction is achieved and makes day‑to‑day decisions.

  • Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvements to exceed expectations
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and benchmark outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including services and charges as applicable
Financial & Strategic Management
  • Develop, manage, and maintain departmental budgets with minimal variance
  • Optimize resource utilization to improve financial performance
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness
  • Align departmental activities with organizational strategy and goals
People Management & Development
  • Recruit, hire, orient, and retain highly qualified staff
  • Ensure staff competency through education, training, and skill validation
  • Conduct performance evaluations and maintain development plans for all direct reports
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and enforce policies fairly
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development
Physician & Stakeholder Relations
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with physicians
  • Develop and execute plans to improve physician satisfaction
  • Partner across departments to solve problems and improve care delivery
What You Will Need Education & Licensure
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Knowledge of healthcare and nursing management practices typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a related area – UM/CRM strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting
