Nurse Practitioner- Hematology​/Oncology

Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioners are clinicians with advanced training who provide primary, acute, and specialty health care services and deliver care under a set of privileges based upon education, training, and certification.

• Provide evidence‑based care for a population of patients as an independent APRN.
• Manage a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
• Develop and implement individualized plans to achieve optimal population health and disease management.
• Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; order and interpret labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions, initiate referrals and consults to specialty services.
• Provide education to patients and families, assess and adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Preferred experience in chemotherapy and oncology.
• 1 full and unrestricted license from any US state or territory.
• National certification as an APRN.
