Description:The Nurse Educator of Surgical Services supports the ongoing education, competencies, training, onboarding, and orientation of the staff in all surgical services areas: OR, PACU, GI lab, IR, Cath lab, etc. in addition to house‑wide responsibilities. It is the responsibility of the unit & leaders to fulfill these duties in the absence of this role.
The Nurse Educator of Surgical Services is responsible for the surgery education of staff. They serve as a resource and consultant to managers and staff on educational issues in assigned departments and units.
Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
Master’s Degree preferred. - RN Indiana license.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in clinical education with operating room experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training, design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups for the measurement of training effects.
- Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
