Quality Supervisor - Temporary Contract

Principal duties and responsibilities include training of the hourly Quality employees and working with them to address any viable needs they may have for their effectiveness. Maintain Standard Work for Quality Monitors to successfully perform the Finished Inspection Report (FIR) planned content. Manage Quality Control Systems (CS) 2 - 4, including auditing finished vehicle inspection utilizing product standards, standard work, escalation processes, and QV information systems.
Incumbent works with DCMA and other USG groups to achieve truck sales and performs FIR audit with government. Coordinates vehicle travelers and ensures proper procedures are followed per contract requirements. Position supports the Quality Verification Manager and Quality Director with special projects as they arise. Position also supports containment and shipping yard activities as necessary. Supervise hourly personnel in Assigned areas.
Assure quality procedures, processes, Completed Vehicle Inspection Standard (CVIS) are being followed. Document hourly employees time and attendance. Interface with other departmental personnel in the manufacturing process.
Knowledge and skills include 2-5 years' experience in Automotive industry; experience in Quality function preferred. 2-5 years of supervisory experience preferred. Microsoft application skills are a must, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, access and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma.
Physical effort includes sight, hearing, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, agility, climbing/kneeling, lifting, physical strength, and stamina.
Working conditions include operating between an office and manufacturing plant environment, teamwork, listening skills, ability to follow instructions, methodical approach, and concentration.
