Quality Verification and Acceptance Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Verification & Acceptance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for product inspections, quality verification activities, and final acceptance processes within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards, supporting customer acceptance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supervising quality personnel across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on quality experience in automotive, defense, heavy manufacturing, or a similar production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, develop, and qualify Quality Monitors to effectively perform product and process inspections.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve standard work procedures for quality inspection activities and reporting processes.
  • Manage quality control systems, including in-process inspections, audits, and final product inspections.
  • Ensure quality standards, inspection procedures, escalation processes, and quality management systems are consistently followed.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production records and quality documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with customer and contractual requirements.
  • Lead or support containment activities related to product non-conformances identified during manufacturing or final inspection.
  • Supervise quality team members, including timekeeping, attendance tracking, coaching, and performance management.
  • Provide oversight and support across multiple manufacturing and warehouse facilities as required.
  • Coordinate customer acceptance activities and participate in final inspection reviews and audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, submitting improvement ideas, and assisting with implementation efforts.
  • Partner with Quality Leadership on special projects and strategic quality initiatives.
  • Promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • 5+ years of manufacturing and/or quality experience within automotive assembly, automotive suppliers, defense manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection methods, and quality controls.
  • Effective leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between local facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience supporting customer audits, product acceptance activities, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read reports, technical documents, and computer screens with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in a manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent use of computers, office equipment, and inspection tools.
  • Ability to walk throughout manufacturing facilities and navigate production environments regularly.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, and crawling.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks when required.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office and manufacturing plant environments.
  • Regular exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Frequent collaboration with production, engineering, operations, and quality personnel.
  • Requires a safety-focused and process-driven approach to daily responsibilities.
Travel Requirements
  • Local travel between company facilities and operational locations as needed.
