Youth Support Specialist - MishawakaAre you looking for a rewarding part‑time job on evenings and weekends? We are now looking to hire Youth Support Specialists to work 3–20 hours per week at our Mishawaka campus. This is an opportunity to mentor and assist youth with daily living activities, outdoor fun, arts and crafts and more. This is a great fit for adults who are caring, fun and enjoy helping others.

- Multiple openings for 5–8 p.m. and 8–11 p.m. weekdays and all times on the weekend, starting with three hour shifts.
- Will complete 30+ hours of paid training. Training schedule is flexible with a blended learning model (classroom and virtual).
- Build and maintain positive rapport with youth
- Respond quickly and effectively to highly stressful situations
- Stress management and conflict resolution skills a plus (training provided)
- Accompany youth to cafeteria during mealtimes
- Engage in outside activities such as sporting games, walks, etc.
- Encourage and promote workout time
- Participate in inside sports and games in the main gym
- Engage youth in arts and crafts
- Support youth in their daily chores such as laundry and cleaning
- Encourage youth to follow unit rules and structure
- Provide problem solving tutoring to clients to help them cope with their struggles
- Teach and encourage communication and use of coping skills
