Warehouse Associate PT Weekends Sat-Sun

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for performing tasks related to warehouse inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, processing incoming inventory, shelving processed inventory, shipping orders from inventory, and performing routine inventory maintenance functions.

• Picking/Binning/Packing:
  Pick books from shelves and sort to totes based on shipping group and process.
• Prep packing area by placing books, pick sheets, and pack sheets in the proper bin.
• Manually pack orders, ensuring that inserts are added when applicable.
• Prep packages for proper shipping.

• Perform inventory maintenance and control, which includes removing aged inventory, straightening shelves, and cleaning aisles.
• Shelve and re-shelve books using the proper locator code.
• Utilize software to correct any inventory errors and flush old inventory.

• Accurately document work time using appropriate company systems.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Keep work areas clean consistent with department 5S expectations.
• Maintain or exceed productivity standards, while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Report any errors to team leader or supervisor.
• Use correct tools and methods as described in Standard Operating Procedures.
• Be a role model for your peers and make your behavior consistent with your words.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated strong attention to detail.

• Ability to use a computer, tablet, scan gun, and various inventory management programs.
• Ability to focus on a single task for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use a pallet jack, baler, box cutter, conveyors, and other tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to use a computer to check email and utilize the internet.
• Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours at a time.
• Ability to safely climb step stools and ladders.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs throughout the shift, including reaching, stooping and bending.
