This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, where employees across Canada support engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air and sea.

Job Description

Serve as the General Manager for the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) business. The selected candidate will provide leadership oversight across all Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) entities in Canada. The position holds overall Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for Multi-Domain Combat System (MDCS) Canada programs including all Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) Domestic and In...IBM...Mercury. This leader will be integral in supporting the success of the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program, the largest shipbuilding program in the history of the Royal Canadian Navy (RDN).

As General Manager, the selected candidate provides day-to-day executive leadership, in coordination with functional counterparts, for 900+ employees in Canada spanning several locations (Kanata, Halifax, Montreal, Victoria and other Canadian locations).

  • This position is responsible for both program execution, as well as RMS growth strategy and capture for Lockheed Martin and collaboration with Lockheed Martin Global Business Development Executive Leadership in development of Lockheed Martin’s overall growth strategy in Canada.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
  • Broad based program management and business development experience: managing large captures, performance efforts delivering cost, schedule, and financial outcomes (10 years+)
  • Experience working with Development, Production, and Sustainment of Canadian and captures and programs
  • Proven experience successfully establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and subordinates
  • Ability to think and act strategically and tactically from a broad business perspective
  • Ability to create, develop, and execute a strategic campaign to bring growth to Canada
  • Ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, navigate conflict and bring matters/issues to successful closure.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
  • A team player with a proven track record of leading a diverse team across multiple locations, managing within a matrixed and complex internal and external customer environment
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment and lead teams through roadblocks and boundaries
  • A senior leader with both the ability and desire to grow and manage change.
  • An excellent communicator able to articulate equally in strategy discussions, conveyance of technical solutions and 1:1 team member development conversations.
Domain Knowledge
  • Experience with executing diverse portfolios, both domestically and internationally, and thoughtful and informed balancing of risk and return.
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management and problem identification / solving ability with focus on driving positive business positioning and results.
