Position: Public Engagement Specialist for Waste Services
Become a Curbside Cart Ambassador in Mission, BC, and take charge of community engagement efforts for an essential environmental initiative.

Your role will enhance awareness around automated waste collection systems.

As a full-time member of Environmental Services, you'll be responsible for devising and executing communication strategies related to solid waste management. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will be crucial in educating the public and ensuring effective program understanding. This position requires occasional flexible hours, reflecting the needs of outreach events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate community events to inform and engage

• Act as a public representative for environmental initiatives

• Provide clear responses to program inquiries

• Maintain documentation of community interactions

• Collaborate with the Environmental Ambassador on outreach

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education

• Minimum three years of public engagement experience

• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license

• Excellent presentation and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
