Operations Management, Program / Project Manager
Overview
Responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers to meet productivity targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Provide engineering guidance and expertise to a team composed of Professional Engineers and Engineering Managers. Work cross-functionally and collaborate with other verticals within the company to achieve common objectives. Develop and execute high level goals.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the effective leadership of an engineering team.
- Mentor other professional engineers and engineering managers to promote their professional growth.
- Lead projects while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review customer specified parameters for building components.
- Discuss design modifications and review appropriate design methodologies with customers.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Assign customers to engineers and manage workload distribution among engineering team(s) and sealing engineers.
- Answer technical questions from customers and team members.
- Support development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
- Review work done by MiTek Engineers In Training (EIT) for accuracy and seal their work.
- Support innovation and align goals with company objectives.
- Professional development of team members, including coaching, constructive feedback, and creating an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and respects diverse perspectives.
- Bachelor's Engineering required
- Master's Civil Engineering preferred
- Equivalent combination of experience and education that clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis.
- 6+ years of related experience required
- 2+ years of management experience required
- Ability to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply concepts of basic geometry
- Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Licensed Professional Engineer – any state board upon hire required
This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
PayIn compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay range for this position is estimated at $167,000-$185,000/year. Base pay offered may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
