Senior Surgical Technician at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 12-hour Day shifts to include Call rotation for weeknight/weekend emergency coverage.

Within the identified roles of practitioner, leader, and teacher, the Sr. Certified Surgical Technician possesses the technical expertise to practice at the Surgical Technician levels, and, additionally, demonstrates advance theory and practice in the surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Gynecology, Genitourinary, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastic/Reconstructive, Thoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, and Pediatrics. This Surgical Technician position assumes additional responsibility in promoting and improving the quality of intra‑operative patient care, participating in the development of technical practice standards and teaching/precepting orientees, students, and colleagues.

• Coursework/Training:
  Certificate of completion of formalized surgical technologist training program.
• Coursework/Training:
  Preceptor course obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Upon hire:
  National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years of experience in Surgical Technician role.

• Associate's Degree, or equivalent education/experience
• Experience in preceptor and educator role.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
