General Summary

Manages all revenue cycle activities including, but not limited to data analysis, system configuration, reporting and departmental administrative operations for all activity related to insurance billing and receivables.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and execution of revenue cycle initiatives related to improving predictability of revenue results, cash collections, reducing cycle times, reducing costs, and increasing practice efficiencies.
  • Creates policies and procedures to enhance and streamline billing, payment posting, and claims resolution, ensuring timely and accurate billing and follow‑up coupled with reduction in outstanding receivables.
  • Monitors and improves employee productivity, provides for ongoing improvements to key revenue cycle indicators, maximizes all aspects of the billing cycle, and creates strategies for increased revenue.
  • Owns relationships with MVC Contracting Entities (CEs) to ensure strong partnership including clear communication on benefits, billing and payments.
  • Mentors and leads team in building plans to support field teams to achieve best practice performance through strong analytical capabilities, process improvement identification, and technology enhancements.
  • Develops a highly skilled team with responsibility for performance management, implementing and maintaining relevant revenue cycle policies, and the continuous training of practice staff.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to support POS Configuration team through the manager whose key responsibility is to implement and maintain all MVC Plans in POS and review MVC contracts to ensure profitability and seamless implementation.
  • Leads and provides oversight to MVC Billing Supervisors whose key responsibility is to ensure claims are billed and collected in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors claim submissions, collections, aging and write‑offs.
  • Leads the outsourced credentialing team to ensure processes are being followed and timely filing and collection occurs.
  • Monitors and assesses MVC trends and provides recommendations to senior management to maximize value of the MVC channel.
  • Partners with IT to resolve systems issues and develop/implement enhancements.
  • Participates as a Subject Matter Expert on company wide initiatives that impact MVC. Acts as the subject matter expert on MVC and medical billing, partners with Field, Operations and Finance to ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Typically has the following skills or abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports.
  • Customer Service background.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with insurance billing processes and all aspects of accounts receivable.
  • Multi‑location practice aggregation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Practice Management System Experience Required.
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
