Description
Reporting to the Director Nursing Operations and is responsible for patient flow, patient placement coordination, staffing, and facilitating quality of hospital service. Leading hospital operations in the absence of administrative department heads as resource and support in coordination with the Administrator on Call on both the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach campuses. Serves as a nursing resource and intervenes in difficult situations with patients and/or families or medical crisis.
Performs as a clinical resource for patient placements, and on the Laguna Beach campus serves as a clinical resource during medical emergencies and performs under "Stat Nurse" Standardized Procedure for safe and appropriate care. Performing duties and conducting interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project the core values of Mission. Consistently adheres to the ANA Nurse Administration scope & standards of practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Upon hire:
California Registered Nurse License. - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. - 2 years Experience in acute care in the Emergency Department, Intensive care unit, or Definitive Step Down unit.
- Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or other advanced degree in a nursing related field.
- Coursework/Training:
Electronic Medical Record or other bed placement software - Administrative Nursing Supervisor experience, or
- Rapid Response experience, or
- Sepsis Response experience, or
- Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
- upon hire:
Second National Certification in specialty area and/or Professional Certification in Nurse Management, as approved by American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Magnet

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
