Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring CA RN licensure and 2+ years of pediatric ICU experience.

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Epic EMR documentation experience required
• Must be comfortable working independently in a lower-acuity, non-teaching hospital environment

• Community-based hospital with a small Pediatric ICU unit, no residents or fellows on staff
• Associated with a comprehensive children's emergency receiving center and a Level II pediatric trauma center
• Patient acuity fluctuates from very sick to stable, generally lower acuity than larger facilities
• Daytime coverage by intensivists, nighttime coverage by NPs/PAs, with 24/7 hospitalist and neonatologist support
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Floating required to NICU and Pediatrics with 6-hour orientation provided
• No on-call requirements
• May be one of only two RNs on shift, working alongside a core staff RN without immediate onsite MD support
• Provides patient- and family-centered care within a small, close-knit unit
• Best suited for travelers experienced in varied unit types and comfortable adapting to fluctuating patient acuity
• Maximum RTO of 5 days permitted; no holiday RTO accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
