Job Summary:- Prepares, records, and deposits all incoming checks and cash received daily to the bank
- Prepares daily cash and foundation vouchers and post the daily transactions to the general ledger.
- Prepares and deposits the checks for the Department of Corrections contracts on a weekly basis.
- Maintains daily petty cash requests, balance cash drawer, and records receipts to the proper general ledger accounts.
- Records insufficient funds checks from the retail stores and subsequent recovery from Certegy as needed.
- Maintains filing system for accounts receivable and journal entries.
- Maintains and stores gift cards.
- Orders office supplies for the Finance Department as needed.
- Assists the Accounts Payable Clerk with filing payables as needed.
- Assists with annual physical inventory count; assists with annual independent audit.
High School diploma/GED required. Two years of experience in basic accounting principles. Subject to alcohol and drug testing. Subject to criminal history background checks.
