Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for entering weekly vendor invoices and purchase orders, and accurately entering them into the ERP system. This role requires an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities- Execute the weekly vendor check and ACH runs in an accurate and timely manner
- Obtain invoices from corporate departments and accurately input them into the ERP system for approval and posting
- Manage accounts payable with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Respond to branch and vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrate good computer skills and the ability to learn new computer functionality
- Work well with others through all methods of communication
- Prepare ad hoc reporting to management when needed
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, working with vendors and purchase orders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Netsuite ERP is a plus

The accounting team consists of 3 members and you will report to the Staff Accountant in the office. The role is based fully in the Lenexa office with a small office environment. Flexible working hours are available Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee Mission, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
