Athletics Facilities and Operations Graduate Assistant
The University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Athletics Facilities and Operations Graduate Assistant. The role involves assisting with day‑to‑day facilities and operations of the Athletic Department and will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration. This student position is open to current UIW graduate students.
Essential Functions- Assist with facility scheduling of varsity practices, games, and third‑party rentals.
- Coordinate scheduling of visiting team practices and facility needs for selected sports.
- Attend to summer camp registration, financial reports, deposits, and walk‑up registrations.
- Review and reconcile third‑party facility rental agreements and payments.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance of all facilities equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Self‑starter able to work without supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Ready to work nights and weekends.
- Teamwork and team‑building skills.
- Priority setting and organizational skills.
- Adherence to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Current UIW graduate student.
Required Work ExperienceNone.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with athletic game operations.
Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsValid Texas driver’s license; insurable with UIW’s insurance carrier.
Work Hours- Monday–Friday up to 25 hours per week.
- Some weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials up to 25 pounds waist high.
