About the Role:The Business Development Coordinator supports small businesses and communities across southwest North Dakota through direct assistance, project coordination, and outreach activities. This role combines business advising through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) with support for community and regional development initiatives administered by the Roosevelt Custer Regional Council.

- Ability to organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new programs, systems, and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in business, customer service, education, nonprofit, or community-based work will be considered.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may evolve based on organizational priorities.
Small Business Support- Meet with entrepreneurs and small business owners to provide general guidance and support
- Assist clients with business planning, marketing concepts, and basic financial information
- Maintain accurate records of client meetings, goals, and outcomes in accordance with SBDC requirements
- Promote SBDC services through outreach and communication
- Assist with planning and hosting business workshops and events
- Support regional programs related to workforce, entrepreneurship, and community development
- Assist with the administration of local grants, including tracking deadlines, documentation, and reports
- Provide coordination and administrative support for community-based projects and initiatives
- Support youth and entrepreneurship programs and other special initiatives
- Assist with organizing and promoting meetings, workshops, and community outreach activities
- Prepare short written materials such as updates, success stories, social media posts, and newsletter content
- Assist with basic grant writing, press releases, and communications materials
- Represent the organization professionally at meetings, events, and trainings

- Schedule:Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Occasional evenings or weekends required
