The Dance Team Student Manager assists the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Dance Team with various aspects of day-to-day operations, including rehearsals, performances, travel coordination, and event preparation. The role supports both the coaching staff and team members to ensure efficient practices and successful performances throughout the season. This position reports to the Head Dance Coach.

This is a student position open to current UIW students.

• Assist with setup and breakdown for rehearsals, performances, and gameday events.
• Maintain and organize team uniforms, props, and equipment.
• Coordinate music playback, sound checks, and practice logistics.
• Communicate with athletics staff, facilities management, and event coordinators.
• Assist with social media content, team communications, and scheduling updates.
• Prepare and organize materials for travel and competitions.
• Track attendance and assist in recording practice footage.
• Support coaching staff in daily administrative and operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current UIW student in good academic standing.
• Must maintain satisfactory academic performance; failure to do so may result in suspension or removal from the position.
• Must communicate proactively with instructors regarding travel or performance-related absences.

Previous experience with a dance team, performance group, or athletics program.

High school or collegiate dance, cheer, or team management experience.

5–10 hours per week; evenings and weekends as required for practices, games, and special events

Ability to move freely within rehearsal and performance spaces; may include lifting or transporting team gear, uniforms, or props.
