Director of Administrative Software

Purpose

The Financial Systems Analyst supports and administers the College’s financial systems, including modules within Jenzabar J1, JFA, Power

FAIDS, ADP, and other internal and external systems. This role works collaboratively with the Student Financial Services office and other campus partners to ensure systems meet internal operational needs and external regulatory requirements. The Financial Systems Analyst also contributes to the development of data analyses, system integrations, and technology solutions that support efficient, accurate, and student-centered financial services.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Three to five (3–5) years of progressive experience supporting financial systems, with additional experience welcomed, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience with Power

    FAIDS and/or Jenzabar J1, JFA, or comparable higher education ERP and financial aid systems preferred
  • Experience with ADP or other payroll/HRIS platforms and related data integrations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents, including faculty, staff, administrators, students, parents, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the College’s Mission and Core Values, including a shared dedication to inclusive, mission-driven education that supports the development of the whole person.
Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of higher education financial aid, student financial services, and related business processes.
  • Knowledge of system integration processes, data flows, and automated exchanges between internal and external systems.
  • Familiarity with system policy development, documentation standards, and operational procedures.
  • Understanding of data security, compliance, audit support, and regulatory reporting requirements relevant to student financial systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; experience using databases or reporting tools to support analysis.
Skills
  • SQL programming skills, including experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to create and manage tables, views, stored procedures, jobs and optimized queries.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop data-driven insights and integrated solutions.
  • Ability to partner with functional stakeholders to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and translate business needs into reliable technical implementations.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, including the ability to develop, maintain, and improve business process and system documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, including Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, Information Technology, and Human Resources.
