Position Summary

At Digital Pioneers Academy (DPA), our High School Math Teachers are more than instructors—they are culture-builders, problem-solvers, and champions of scholar success.

In this role, you will ensure every DPA scholar meets—and exceeds—high academic and behavioral expectations within a community where every student feels known, loved, and respected. You will play a critical role in developing scholars’ mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence—preparing them to succeed in college, careers, and an increasingly data-driven world.

DPA teachers believe deeply that all scholars can achieve at the highest levels. As a High School Math Teacher, you will bring this belief to life by delivering rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that builds deep conceptual understanding and mastery.

Our high school teachers are results-driven and relentlessly focused on improving outcomes for scholars—academically and beyond. You will:

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application
• Drive measurable academic gains by analyzing scholar work and data, then implementing high-impact instructional strategies
• Build strong, authentic relationships with scholars and families to foster investment in both culture and achievement
• Design and implement assessments that accurately measure progress toward mastery of standards
• Continuously refine your practice using data to adjust instruction and close learning gaps
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to align instruction, share best practices, and improve outcomes
• Contribute to a high-performing team through curriculum development, planning, and school-wide initiatives
• Serve as an advisor
  , mentoring a small group of scholars and supporting their academic and personal growth

• A strong math educator with at least 2 years of teaching experience
  , ideally in an urban public or charter school setting
• Deep content knowledge in high school mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and/or higher-level coursework)
• A believer in high expectations and equitable outcomes for all students
• A data-driven practitioner who uses evidence to improve instruction and drive results
• A relationship-builder who connects authentically with scholars, families, and colleagues

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required with a strong record of achievement
• Master’s degree preferred
