** GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
** Lucas Christian Academy is seeking a part-time High School Art teacher to guide students in developing artistic skills and creativity through visual arts. The ideal candidate will encourage artistic expression while helping students appreciate beauty, creativity, and excellence within a Christ-centered environment.## Qualifications

** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
* Become familiar with and keep updated on all our Emergency Protocols, Policies, and Procedures
* Contribute to school systems effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives
* Establish and adjust objectives by following school guidelines and school goals, plans, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain records by documenting accordingly
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies as deemed by your supervisor
* Embrace biblical truth, strive for excellence, and model Christ-like leadership
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
* Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish educational results and departmental requests/needs
* Meet requirements for educational development related to your position certifications
* Complete continuing education as deemed by your supervisor
* Willingness to take developmental assessments
* Background checks, Ministry Safe, Drug tests, and all compliance requests
* Attend Parent Teacher Fellowship, all school Workshops
* Attend In-service, assist in set up and tear down of all school PTFs and Workshops as deemed by your supervisor
* Support Leadership Decisions
* Other duties as assigned by Direct Supervisor, Team lead, Head of School
** PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
*** Regularly standing and walking around
* Regularly sitting at the computer, requiring repetitive finger motion and manual dexterity
* Close visual acuity is required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing, and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and reading
* Hearing ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction
* Talking and expressing ideas utilizing the spoken word to convey instructions to students, parents, and other workers
* Ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations
* Occasional lifting of 5 to 20 pounds
* Subject to frequent interruptions and frequent deadlines
