  • Partner with design engineers to incorporate fatigue-resistant features during the development of new structures.
  • Optimize existing designs to enhance fatigue life, ensuring extended service performance and safety.
  • Ensure all fatigue assessments adhere to relevant standards, including the Eurocode and EN1090 for structural steel repairs.
  • Stay abreast of advances in fatigue analysis techniques, integrating best practices into ongoing projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports outlining fatigue analysis methods, findings, and recommendations.
  • Present technical results effectively to diverse stakeholders, including engineers, management, and clients.
Profile
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Proven track record in fatigue life prediction, failure analysis, and metallic structure assessment within heavy industry environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying Eurocode standards for fatigue calculations.
  • Experience with metallic repair techniques compliant with EN1090 is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN.
  • Strong understanding of materials science, fatigue mechanisms, and microstructural influences on fatigue behavior.
  • Familiarity with experimental fatigue testing methods, including strain gauging and crack monitoring.
  • Excellent ability to interpret complex data and develop accurate models.
  • Attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on inspections in heavy industry settings.
