Producer Members

The Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association (MSCA) is a membership-based organization representing cattle farmers and individuals who are part of the cattle community in Minnesota. We are proud of our partnership with over 20 local cattlemen's associations from around the state that affiliate with the MSCA.

MSCA is primarily focused on addressing local, state and federal issues impacting the long-term viability of cattle farming and ensuring Minnesota's business climate welcomes the growth and long-term success of raising cattle in Minnesota.

Mission:

To create and maintain an economic and political climate that provides individual members the opportunity to sustain and grow the cattle industry in Minnesota.

• Representation at the state and national level with lobbying efforts. The MSCA's legislative consultant and executive director work to monitor and address policy issues impacting cattle producers in the state of Minnesota.
• Subscription to the Minnesota Cattleman newspaper which is published six times per year.
• Weekly e-newsletter (Policy Pen) mailings to stay up-to-date with policy and news in the cattle industry.
• Discounted advertisement rates for the Minnesota Cattleman paper and Policy Pen e-newsletter.
• Free subscription to Cattle Krush, a user-friendly app to help manage risk. Cattle Krush helps in buying, selling and managing financials. This is a $75/month or $900 / year value. Call the office for your code to create your free Cattle Krush account.
• Networking opportunities.
• Tours and educational events.

Cattle farmers and ranchers account for a small percentage of the population; this makes it vitally important that we work together to make our voice heard. MSCA provides a voice for the cattlemen and women in Minnesota.

• We are stronger together than separate.
• To be a part of a unique group representing cattlemen and women who are striving to better the cattle industry through training, teaching and supporting youth, therefore building the future of the cattle industry.
• You need to be actively involved to protect your industry
  . If not, someone else may be actively trying to destroy it.
• To stay informed on rapid changes in the cattle industry and to have an advocate
  beyond your farm gates.
• The Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association is the only state organization focused solely on the beef cattle industry and cattle-related legislation that has direct impact
  on your businesses and way of life.
• Networking opportunities with people who have the same vested interest in the Minnesota cattle industry.
