Job Description
Your Impact as an Assistant Hospital ManagerReporting to the Hospital Manager, you will serve as a key leader in our fast-paced, multi-doctor veterinary hospital. As the Assistant Hospital Manager, you will partner with the Hospital Manager to drive operational efficiency and team development. You will assist with essential HR functions—including hiring, training, and performance management—while ensuring compliance with policies that support a safe and efficient hospital environment.
In this role, you act as a visible leader, balancing administrative tasks with client relations and team support.
- Team Leadership: You will partner with the Hospital Manager to address staffing needs, including hiring, training, reviewing, and coaching staff. You will serve as a visible leader and point of support for technicians, CSRs, and support staff.
- Operational Flow: You will monitor daily schedules, appointment flow, and staffing coverage to ensure the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Conflict Resolution: You will proactively address and work to resolve employee conflict and behavioral issues, fostering a positive team environment.
- Financial Management: You will manage the financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through the collection of client transactions, strict cash/credit handling procedures, and managing opening/closing protocols.

Experience:
You will maintain a positive attitude in all interactions, proactively demonstrating empathy towards clients and treating pets with compassion and respect. - Systems & Records: You will utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records accurately and communicate effectively with clients and teammates.
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience is required (veterinary or healthcare experience is preferred).
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading a diverse workforce and establishing a positive team culture.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some holidays and weekends.
