Senior IT Infrastructure & Data Migration Specialist (m/f/d) – 100% Remote

Your Mission:

We are looking for a versatile and senior-level IT professional to take ownership of our server infrastructure while also leading IT data migration and infrastructure projects. This role requires both technical hands-on expertise in Linux systems and Hyper-V environments, and project leadership skills to guide migration teams, ensure project compliance and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

Your daily tasks:

Server & Infrastructure Management

• Administer and maintainLinux serverswith a focus on performance, security, and uptime.
• Managesystem configuration, updates, and patchingacross environments.
• Hands-on management ofHyper-V virtualizationand experience withPower Shell and Azure.
• Implement and maintainsecurity protocols(e.g., firewalls, IDS, access control).
• Set up and validateserver backup routinesanddisaster recovery plans.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations and operations.
• Developautomation scripts/toolsto streamline server and system tasks.
• Lead and executedata migration projectsbetween IT systems, applications, and platforms.
• Collaborate withProject Managersto define goals, timelines, and delivery standards.
• UseQuest ODMto manage migrations, directory synchronization, and user provisioning.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance during and after migration.
• Lead progress meetings, manage risk, and provide clear stakeholder updates.
• Align infrastructure setup with migration roadmaps (networking, accounts, permissions).

What we are looking for:

• 7+ yearsof experience inLinux system administrationand infrastructure support.
• Proven experience withHyper-V,Power Shell, andAzure environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Quest ODMand similar migration tools (required).
• Strong understanding ofdata protection,compliance, anddisaster recovery.
• Track record ofleading cross-functional migration projectsend-to-end.
• Languages withIT automation(e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible).
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
