Technical Alignment Manager

A natural problem-solver with a passion for technology, the Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) serves as a trusted technical advisor with expertise across multiple technology disciplines. This role focuses on aligning technology solutions with organizational goals, promoting best practices, and ensuring a seamless partnership between technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for a designated portfolio of accounts, building strong, long-term relationships with key business leaders, owners, and executive stakeholders.
• Provide strategic guidance by understanding business objectives and conducting regular service reviews to ensure alignment with technology best practices.
• Proactively translate complex technical concepts, troubleshoot issues, and provide analytical problem resolution using expert-level knowledge of products, services, and solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support teams to advocate for stakeholder needs and ensure a seamless service experience.
• Identify business growth opportunities and coordinate with the sales organization as appropriate.
• Drive process improvement by documenting solutions in a knowledge base and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate procedures.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with leadership and stakeholders across all channels.
• Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to discuss:
• Current managed service performance
• Current and future projects
• Technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives
• Operational improvements and recommendations
• Create and deliver periodic reporting to meet varying stakeholder expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or formal technical education preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive technical IT experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical, stakeholder-facing role with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Sales engineering and/or IT leadership experience is helpful but not required.

• Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and act as a strategic advisor.

• Strong, well-rounded knowledge across networking, infrastructure, and application support.

• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
• Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as PING and TRACERT.

• Deep expertise in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory (Azure and on-premises), Group Policy, and Power Shell.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, administration, and troubleshooting web-based applications.

• Strong understanding of user and email account administration, file and share permissions, and remediation of common security threats including malware and viruses.
