Position PurposeThe Governance Project Manager plays a critical role in strengthening enterprise governance, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and supporting executive-level decision-making. This role leads the planning, coordination, and project management of governance-related activities—including Board of Directors meetings, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) planning cycles, manager and enterprise-wide events, strategic planning processes, and quarterly OKR reporting.
The Governance Project Manager ensures organizational alignment, operational discipline, and a strong rhythm-of-business (ROB) by partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. This individual also collaborates with Marketing & Communications to deliver clear, timely, and consistent communication of strategic priorities across the organization.
Responsibilities Governance & Executive Cadence Management- Lead the end-to-end coordination of all governance activities, including Board meetings, ELT sessions, manager meetings, and enterprise town halls.
- Oversee agendas, timelines, content readiness, run-of-show, logistics, and speaker coordination.
- Maintain governance calendars and enterprise milestones to drive cross-functional visibility and alignment.
- Ensure all governance deliverables meet quality standards, expectations, and organizational requirements.
- Manage project workflows for strategic planning, annual operating planning, and quarterly OKR cycles.
- Facilitate intake, prioritization, and documentation of strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate planning sessions, working meetings, deliverable tracking, and quarterly business reviews.
- Support development of leadership narratives and maintain enterprise performance dashboards.
- Partner with Marketing/Communications to deliver consistent communication of strategic plans and updates.
- Ensure aligned messaging for governance events and organizational milestones.
- Develop leader toolkits, talking points, and communication materials to support organizational cascades.
- Support development and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, standards, and operating processes.
- Manage project intake, prioritization scoring, and governance workflows within the Enterprise PMO.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups and ensure clarity of roles, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain standardized templates, playbooks, and operating procedures.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief People, Strategy & Governance Officer.
- Prepare executive briefs, decision documents, and summary reports.
- Provide clear, organized, and timely communication to leaders and stakeholders.
- Apply strong project planning, risk management, and issue resolution to ensure on-time delivery of governance activities.
- Track progress against milestones and maintain transparent, up-to-date project documentation.
- Promote governance frameworks such as RASCI and RAPID to strengthen organizational clarity and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, or a related field
- 5 years of project management experience supporting executive governance, strategy, or enterprise transformation
- Proven experience planning complex executive-level events and deliverables
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive writing skills
- Strong proficiency in modern project management tools and collaboration platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight timelines
- Experience with in a Transformation Office, Strategy Office, PMO, or Governance function
- Familiarity with OKR methodologies and enterprise performance management tools
- Experience supporting C-suite leaders and Board governance activities
