Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Virtual Assistant to support a highly respected Behavioral Specialist specializing in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. The principal is a two-time best-selling, award-winning author, host of a top-rated podcast and streaming television show focused on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia awareness. She is a frequent speaker at medical conferences (approximately 10 per year, primarily remote with occasional travel) and has been featured on over 400 external media platforms, including podcasts, radio shows, and television interviews.
The mission is clear:
to raise global awareness and improve understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
, particularly within the medical community and among caregivers and families. The ideal candidate will manage and grow the principal’s digital presence, ensuring consistent, professional, and impactful social media marketing across all platforms.
- Manage and maintain multiple social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, X, Tik Tok, and others as applicable).
- Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms.
- Repurpose existing long-form content (e.g., You Tube videos, podcast episodes) into:
- Short-form reels
- Video snippets
- Quote graphics
- Educational carousels
- Cross-post and adapt content appropriately per platform.
- Ensure brand voice consistency and professional presentation.
- Develop engaging social media graphics and captions.
- Draft copy aligned with medical and educational messaging.
- Coordinate content approvals prior to publishing.
- Support awareness campaigns tied to speaking engagements, webinars, and events.
- Maintain a structured content calendar.
- Provide light community engagement support (as agreed upon).
- Participate in a weekly virtual check-in meeting.
- Provide content reports and progress updates.
- Incorporate feedback and strategic direction.
- Proven experience in social media management and content marketing.
- Strong written communication skills (professional and educational tone).
- Ability to repurpose long-form content into high-performing short-form pieces.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Preferred (Highly Valued):
- Background in healthcare, medical communications, or caregiving.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or related medical conditions.
- Experience supporting professionals in the medical or educational field.
- Understanding of medical terminology and comorbidities.
