The Sewickley Community Center is seeking a Development and Strategy Committee Member to support the long-term sustainability and growth of the Sewickley Community Center by strengthening and expanding community partnerships, increasing awareness of the Center’s impact, and supporting events and fundraising efforts.

Mission

The Sewickley Community Center, "The Center," is dedicated to providing affordable activities, opportunities, and space to meet the diverse needs of the Sewickley Valley Area.

Purpose

The Development and Strategy Committee supports the long-term sustainability and growth of the Sewickley Community Center by strengthening and expanding community partnerships, increasing awareness of the Center’s impact, and supporting events and fundraising efforts.

Time Commitment

• Orientation to the Center: in person for one hour
• Meet once per month for one hour
• Additional engagement as needed for specific initiatives or opportunities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic input on community engagement and development opportunities
• Help identify community and corporate partners aligned with the Center’s mission
• Help support the annual Bingo event
• Identify and support creative opportunities to get engaged in the local community
• Serve as an ambassador for the Center by increasing visibility and awareness in the community

Ideal Committee Members

• Well-engaged within the community or local business landscape
• Interested in nonprofit impact
• Willing to leverage relationships and expertise to support the Center’s mission
